Update: The Hub Campus Concrete Slab is Complete!

This past June, the Hospitality Hub broke ground on the new Hub Campus, a facility that will include an expanded operations center for Hub staff and clients, a women’s shelter, and a beautiful public plaza serving the needs of people experiencing homelessness.

This week, construction teams completed the concrete slab that will support the new building and act as the foundation of all of the incredible work of the Hub staff for decades to come. Learn more and see how you can support the new Hub Campus.

In addition, steel beams will be placed on the site this week and by the end of September, the steel structure of the building will be complete!

We can’t wait to share more as the site construction progresses. Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement over the last several months!

Hub Studios

Here’s an August update from Hub Outreach team member Liza Hubbard, who has been working to match clients with available Hub Studios:

Today has been one of my biggest highlights at the Hub by far. I met Mr. Glover years ago when I was a Blue Suede Brigadier. He has been experiencing homeless over 15 years. Never in my life would I have thought that I would play a part in assisting with getting him off the streets sleeping. Roman and I connected with Mr. Glover around two months ago. It’s been challenging but, even in the challenging times, we’ve learned to not give up on him.

Mr.Glover was moved into Studio 4 this morning! As he was getting closer to the studio he was saying” Thank You Jesus, Thank You Jesus”! Today was by far one of my biggest highlights at the HUB. I can’t explain how it feels to be a part of a team that cares so much about all of the clients.

Mr. Glover, a Hub client, moves into a brand new Hub Studio.

COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination

Tamika Redmond, a member of the Hub staff, processes COVID tests at our Plaza location.

The Hub continues to provide COVID testing and vaccinations at the Plaza location at 590 Washington to anyone in the homeless community. Our entire staff is vaccinated and works diligently to keep clients safe as a surge in infections persists.

Thank you.
